The requirement
Income Protection rehabilitation often involves several parties: the insurer, the provider and the person receiving support. The work can be clinically sensitive, operationally complex and spread across email, PDFs, case notes and spreadsheets. That makes it difficult to see what has happened, who owns the next step and what evidence supports the route forward.
Our solution
mgctech built ClaimCompass as a shared operating layer for that work. It gives each organisation a clearer view of the same case while keeping roles, permissions and evidence boundaries explicit.
The platform turns referral, assessment, approval and outcome activity into structured information. People can review the case, understand the rationale, see what needs attention and keep a record that stands up to later scrutiny. The core platform is in production and is being extended in measured releases.
Impact
- A shared case view instead of separate email threads, PDFs and spreadsheets
- Clearer ownership of status, approvals, next actions and outcomes
- Structured information that supports review without removing human judgement
- A stronger audit trail across organisations involved in the rehabilitation pathway
- Better operational visibility into where cases are moving, slowing or needing attention
Why it worked
The value is not only in digitising a referral. It is in making a multi-party pathway easier to understand, easier to review and easier to manage without asking people to rely on memory, inboxes or disconnected spreadsheets.
